    Dear Mr Tng,

I am Rachel Lie from Raffles Girls’ Primary School. I am from the New Media Club and we are working on the school newsletter. One of the articles in the issue is about a tree in Toa Payoh, Ci Ern Ge. We have found your photo of it on https://davidtng.wordpress.com/page/8/ which is suitable for us to use and we would like you to grant us permission to use the photo in our newsletter. We will acknowledge the credits in the newsletter.

Hi David, I Love your blogs, so much details about plants, I have learned lots about nature in FNQ, good work! May I ask if  Pueraria thomsonii,  Pueraria lobata vines are present in Cairns because I have never seen the plant in real life. Have you seen them? Have a good weekend. Best regards Lucy

Hi Lucy, thanks for your kind words and great to know you have learnt a lot about FNQ flora. I do not know of P. thomsonii, but I have seen P. lobata (I think it is P. montana ssp. lobata) as a non-native in some forest edges in the Daintree. Another non-native species P. phaseoloides is common everywhere in open areas. Let me know if you find P. thomsonii. Best regards, David

        Hi David,

I went for a walk near botanical garden and found 2 vines. I am not sure if those are related to tropical kudzu or not, one has very similar leaves to P. phaseoloides and the other has funny leave shape. I wish I could send some photos but I dont know how.

        Many thanks and best regards

        Lucy
